{one willow}

{one willow}

Different for me, yes I know. I struggled with the courage to post it but I appreciate so many types of photography styles and really want to continue to stretch myself as a photographer so I pushed through my doubts today and shared.

The is the view out of the front of our home at sunrise. We planted this one willow when we first moved into our house about six years ago. It symbolizes so many things for us and I love watching it grow each year.

This is the first year I have 'truly' been into photography, by that I mean, actually understanding it a bit. I still have so much to learn and right now I am totally learning about the shift I need to make as the seasons change. I only use Natural Light and I have noticed that as the weather changes I too have to make adjustments. My adored lemon-y sun filled skies are very few these days. Autumn slipped by way to fast and the leaves are now very scarce on the trees. The days are much shorter and often filled with mist and grey sky's. I am determined to find the beauty in this and am really looking forward to this new chapter in my journey.

Have a wonderful weekend my friends and Happy Halloween!

This is just so beautiful! I love the texture, the darkness and the composition. You really know how to evoke feelings with your photography and processing.

Well, I am so glad you shared this, Jess! It truly is a work of art! I, too, struggle for courage to post photos ... I never seem to think the work I do is good enough, but, as you said there are so many different styles of photography ... and we all each have our own style. I'm still looking for mine, though! I have been busy with life's happenings around here, and now I think things are going to slow enough for me to really get into this ... I love it so! My husband is also interested, so who knows where this may lead! Our autumn is quickly coming to a close around here, as well, but I know when the cold, gray days of winter are upon us, we will find beauty all around us to capture, along with that courage to share those images! I'm looking forward to capturing those wintery scenes ... I may be one of a few, but, I do love the wintertime! If you get a chance, I would love your thoughts on what I've done so far, both, here on my blogspot site, and also on my Flickr page. I am a contact there, so 'Borne Image' shouldn't be hard to find. I look forward to seeing more of your talent ... you are indeed blessed, my friend!

I love this image! I, too, have the same doubts. I often capture & edit "different" types of photography, but never post them. They, typically, are pushed to archive, never to be seen again. I'm SO glad that you shared it with us. It's a gorgeous shot with a great mood. You are VERY talented, & you inspire me!
