I am cracking up because I just wrote my post for tomorrow's You Capture and in it I mention that I tried my first still life and I ask for tips. This is beautiful. How do you do these things?
Ha! I was just telling my husband the same thing about still life...too funny :)
I used soft aqua was from Jade Quinn (fabulous free lightroom preset) and then applied the vintage wash action from eye candy finally I did add a texture as soft light...it's a free texture from les brumes on flickr. I really need to post that to give credit....I've been feeling the crunch of time lately of being a mom to five :) I'll try to post the info tonight. Thanks for stopping by.
LOVE LOVE LOVE it Jess. I think you should have it printed on canvas for your house! It's gorgeous! The texture really adds something. Did you use a mask for over the flowers? I don't know how to use masks yet in PS and really want to learn... I love textures!

Beautiful as always!
Is that a texture layer you added? I love hearing about your process, it helps me learn so much! This is beautiful!
I have found that still life can be a lot of fun too. It doesn't move, it doesn't whine and you can make it do whatever you want!
Unlike my children. :)
